We know this is a destination for many of our guests, so we hope you use our wedding weekend as an excuse to explore the great outdoors of the area!

Things to Do

Aurora

Waterfront Activities: There are a plethora of activities at the waterfront of the Inn including bicycles, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, bocce, and more.

Indoor Activities: Inside the Inns, there are puzzles, board games, yoga mats, binoculars, telescopes and books.

Mackenzie-Childs: Aurora is home to the home decor brand and has a beautiful campus that you can visit, stroll their gardens, tour their farmhouse and shop at the onsite outlet. Mackenzie-Childs' iconic black and white check pattern appears throughout the Inn's decor and restaurants.

The Spa at Inns of Aurora: Situated on the crest of the hill above Aurora with stunning views of Cayuga Lake offering an array of services. Please contact them directly to arrange any treatments.

Wells College Golf: Wells College is in Aurora and has a 9-hole golf course.

Ithaca

Cayuga Waterfront Trail: Bike, walk, or run along this scenic 5.5 mile waterfront trail. Explore waterfront gardens, go boating, or enjoy a picnic with views of Cayuga Lake.

Cornell Botanic Gardens: Beautiful place to walk around with nature preserves, an arboretum and botanical gardens.

Ithaca Farmers Market: The Ithaca Farmers Market runs every Saturday (9AM-3PM) and Sunday (10AM-3PM). It's right along the lake and a great place to go grab breakfast or lunch and a fun local craft!

Paddledockers: Rent kayacks, paddle boards, or an electric boat and spend the day on the water!

Buttermilk Falls State Park: A classic Ithaca hike.

Black Diamond Trail: You can start this one from the farmers market and head out and back.

Taughannock Falls: See the highest vertical drop waterfall in the Northeastern U.S. It's an easy 2 mile round trip walk to the most beautiful waterfall in Ithaca. You can also just drive to the lookout. This is about a 20 minute drive from city center, and totally worth it!

Cascadilla Gorge: The iconic Cascadilla Gorge Trail connects downtown Ithaca with the Cornell Campus among one of the most picturesque gorges in the Finger Lakes Region and was voted Ithaca's favorite gorge.

Treeman: Only a 15-minute drive from downtown. You'll get scenic views of waterfalls as you hike through the wooded gorges. It's a moderate hike and very doable for all guests!

Drinks + Bites

Aurora

Fargo Bar & Grill: Fargo is right in town and serves classic tavern style food and drinks. There is a nice patio out back and pool and darts inside.

Aurora Village Market: In the heart of Aurora, the Village Market offers visitors a selection of Inns of Aurora-branded gifts, freshly brewed organic coffee, morning pastries and desserts, and a growing selection of craft beer.

Treleaven Winery: Treleaven offers wine and craft beer tastings and is open for lunch and dinner on weekends.

Aurora Brewing: Visit the tasting room or enjoy a beer on the patio overlooking the lake and vineyards. Located right next to Long Point Winery, Aurora Brewing Co. makes for a nice bike ride from the Inn (or a very short drive!)

Ithaca

College Town Bagels: Great for grab-and-go breakfast and lunch, featuring tons of sandwiches and salads on fresh baked bread. Haley gets a sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese, capers, cucumbers and tomatoes (don't knock it til you try it) and Drew gets the California Sunrise on an everything bagel.

Ithaca Brewery: Located a short drive from downtown, the Ithaca Beer Co is the site of the brewery and a large outdoor restaurant + beer garden.

Liquid State: Downtown beer hall that brews on site and has great food trucks!

The Ithaca Commons are home to many great restaurants! Some of our favorites include Simeons, Mahogany Grill, Viva Taqueria, Mercato, Bickering Twins and Thompson and Bleeker Pizza.

Argos: 2 minute walk up the street from the commons. Our favorite cocktail bar!
